How to extract audio from an Instagram Reel
- Copy the Instagram link. On the Reel or post, tap the share icon and copy the URL. Public profiles only — private accounts aren't supported.
- Paste it on unstem.me. Go to the homepage and drop the URL in. If it's a carousel, you'll be shown thumbnails and asked to pick which clip to use.
- Hit "Separate stems". The AI pulls the audio out of the video and splits it into four tracks. Most clips finish in well under a minute.

Does it work on Reels and regular video posts?
Yes — both Reels and feed video posts work. Carousel posts that contain multiple videos show a picker so you can choose which clip to separate.
Can I extract audio from a private Instagram account?
No. unstem.me only works with public posts. We don't log in to Instagram and we don't scrape private content.
Does it work on Instagram Stories?
Not currently. Stories are ephemeral and require an authenticated session, so unstem.me doesn't support them. Reels and video posts are the supported formats.
Whose Instagram videos can I process?
unstem.me is intended for your own content or for personal and educational use. You are responsible for the content you process and for respecting the rights of the original creator.
