Split any SoundCloud track into 4 stems

unstem.me is a free online SoundCloud stem separator. Drop in any public SoundCloud track URL — an upload, a release, a self-published demo — and an AI model splits the mix into four independent tracks. You get the isolated vocals, the full drum kit, the bass line, and the rest of the mix (guitars, keys, synths) as separate MP3 files.

The whole flow is web-based. Nothing to install, no account, no card. The audio is streamed from SoundCloud server-side, processed on a GPU, and stems are ready in under a minute for typical song-length tracks. Preview them in the browser, download what you want, or grab a ZIP with everything.

How to separate stems from a SoundCloud track

  1. Copy the SoundCloud URL. Open the track on SoundCloud and copy the link from the address bar or the Share button.
  2. Paste it on unstem.me. Go to the homepage and drop the URL into the input field.
  3. Hit "Separate stems". The job runs on a GPU. Most songs are done in under a minute.
  4. Download. Preview each stem, download individual MP3s, or grab them all as a single ZIP.

Who is this for

SoundCloud is where a lot of independent producers and unsigned artists publish first. unstem.me lets DJs build edits from a SoundCloud upload, lets producers study how a track they admire is mixed, lets musicians make a backing track for live practice, and lets remixers extract a clean acapella to flip into something new — all without bothering the artist or waiting for stems they never released.

SoundCloud stem separation FAQ

Does this work with private SoundCloud tracks?

No — only public SoundCloud tracks can be processed. The track has to be reachable without logging in. If you can open it in an incognito window, unstem.me can fetch it.

Can I separate SoundCloud DJ sets or mixes?

Yes, but the result depends on the source. Long mixes work, but the AI is trained for songs — for an hour-long DJ set the per-track separation is less clean than for a single mastered song.

What about download-disabled SoundCloud tracks?

unstem.me uses the standard SoundCloud streaming endpoint, so a track with downloads disabled by the uploader can still be processed — what matters is that the track is publicly streamable.

What stems do I get?

Four stems: vocals, drums, bass, and other (everything else — guitars, keys, synths, pads). Each is returned as a high-quality MP3.

Is this free?

Yes. unstem.me is free with a small daily quota per visitor. No account, no card, no signup.
