TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1. Who we are

unstem.me (“the Service”) is operated by Brian Stanley, an individual based in Argentina. You can reach us through the contact form on unstem.me.

2. What the Service does

unstem.me is an online audio processing tool. You provide audio — by uploading a file, or by giving us a link to a track — and the Service uses AI source-separation models to split that recording into individual stems, such as vocals, drums, bass and other instruments. It can also transcribe a stem to MIDI. What you receive is the separated output of the audio you provided.

3. Your content and your responsibility

You keep all rights to the audio you process. We claim no ownership over it.

By using the Service, you confirm that you own the audio you submit, or that you otherwise have the right to process it — for example because it is your own recording, because it is licensed to you, or because your use is permitted by law in your country, such as private study or practice.

You are solely responsible for what you process and for what you do with the results. Do not use the Service to infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights. We may suspend or terminate an account we reasonably believe is being used to do so.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to work around the terms or technical protections of another service, to resell access without our written agreement, or to overload or interfere with our infrastructure. Automated or bulk access outside the published quotas is not permitted.

5. Accounts

You can use parts of the Service without an account. Creating one, via Google sign-in, raises your daily quota and saves your track history. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account, and the data attached to it, at any time from your account settings.

6. Plans, billing and cancellation

The Service has a free plan with a daily quota, and paid plans that raise those limits. Current prices are listed on the pricing page.

Paid plans renew automatically — monthly or yearly, depending on what you chose — until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not bill you again after a cancellation.

If we change a price, the change applies from your next renewal, never retroactively, and we will tell you before it takes effect. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Payments are handled by our reseller, who acts as the merchant of record and appears on your statement and invoice.

7. Availability and storage

The Service is provided as-is, without a guaranteed uptime. Separated stems are stored temporarily so you can download them: on the free plan they are deleted after 5 days, and on paid plans they are kept while your subscription is active. Keep your own copy of anything you need — we are not a backup service.

8. Disclaimer and liability

AI separation is imperfect. The output is a reconstruction, not the artist’s original studio multitrack, and quality varies with the source material. We make no warranty that the Service will meet your needs or produce a particular result.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will give notice on the site or by email before it applies. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms. You can stop using the Service at any time.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. Nothing here removes any consumer right you have under the law of the country where you live.
